ODISHA NEET UG COUNSELLING 2020
OJEE – Odisha Joint Entrance Examination is the Governing Body which conducts Medical/Dental Counseling in the State. The counseling is being conducted for 85% Government seats and 100% Private seats.
After qualifying NEET UG, students are eligible to participate in the State counseling process. There are 7 Government medical colleges consisting of 1050 seats and 3 Private Medical College offering 350 seats. Out of 1050 Government seat, 158 seats (15%) got allotted through AIQ (All India Quota through MCC) and remaining 892 seats (85%) got allotted through state counseling process. 350 seats of Private entirely allotted through State.
Odisha domicile students were only eligible to participate in Government and Private Seat allotment process, whereas non-domicile students were not eligible to participate in the allotment process.
There were 3 rounds of counseling, round 1 and 2 was conducted online and Mop up round was conducted offline.

As per “Get My University” studies Odisha has good number of Government seat. Due to this cut off was lower than the allotment done through AIQ. By analyzing the data, we found nearly 19000 students of Odisha state qualified NEET 2019 Exam and became eligible for the State counseling.
Total 3657 students have registered for the state counseling process for 1242 Medical seats. Competition level was low as compared to statistics of other states. It was a good opportunity to maximize the possibility of getting a seat for the Odisha domicile students.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBBS ADMISSION IN ODISHA
- The qualifying examination should be passed with minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserve category candidates) in PCB and English subjects.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 5 years of age relaxation for reserve categories.
- Only candidates who have qualified in NEET 2019 entrance test by achieving minimum 50 percentile for General and 40 Percentile for SC/ST will be eligible to participate in the Odisha NEET 2019 counseling.
- Odisha Domicile candidates can only apply for the state counseling process.
- Non domicile are not eligible to apply.
