Study Curriculum for MBBS in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, the MBBS course is divided into 4 different phases:-

  1. First Phase - The duration for first phase is 1.5 years with Biochemistry and Anatomy as some of the subjects.
  2. Second Phase - This phase is of 1 year and has subjects such as Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine.
  3. Third Phase - Third phase is of 1 year duration and has subjects such as pharmacology, therapeutics, pathology, etc.
  4. Fourth Phase - Fourth phase is the last phase and the duration is 1.5 years. The subjects such as surgery, obstetrics and medicine are covered in this phase.

MBBS Admission in Bangladesh Procedure

In most of the Bangladeshi Medical Universities, the academic year for the course of MBBS commences from the month of September or October and hence the applications are closed by the end of June every year. The documents require 3 to 5 weeks to process after submission of the application.  Following is the process to get admission into medical universities in Bangladesh:-

 

  1. Download the application form and fill in the details correctly
  2. Check for all the necessary documents required for the admission
  3. Submit the application along with the documents
  4. If a candidate is selected, he/she will have to pay admission, application and processing fee to book a seat (this system may vary from university to university)
  5. The admission letter will be received once the candidate has completed all the VISA and other formalities.
