KARNATAKA NEET UG COUNSELLING 2019

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is the regulatory body, which conducts NEET UG Counseling in Karnataka for 85% Seats in state Government medical college and 100% seats of State Private medical college. Counseling consist of following phases, 1st round, 2nd round, Mop up round ( Physical round) and stray round ( College round).

Karnataka has always been in demand among medical aspirant, and situation hasn’t change this year too. Being an open state where anyone from any state can participate in the counseling. 2019 witnessed huge competition for seats in Karnataka among Non Karnataka students.

There were nearly 31087 Karnataka domicile students and 50545 non Karnataka students applied in KEA 2019 for 3979 seats available for Karnataka domicile and 595 seats for non Karnataka students.  Competition was such that close to 8 students were fighting for 1 seat under Karnataka domicile quota, competition was even more tougher for non Karnataka students as close to 85 students were fighting for 1 seat.

According to Get My university survey and research, we found that many of the students who got very good rank but in spite of that they were not able to get top ranking college, the sole reason was lack of knowledge in terms of counseling process, which round they should attempt, what are the colleges they opt. Under our guidance we have seen many happy faces who finally got settled into a better one, whereas there were many who sacrificed and settled in a lesser ranking colleges.

The whole idea of understanding the counseling round is that, one should get what they deserve. Sometime due to inexperience and lack of proper guidance, students do not understand the importance of various round being conducted.  They tend to compromise on the college. Do we really have to attend all the rounds? Answer is not necessarily. Instead you do the study and carefully go for choice filling.

KEA has extended deadline quite a few times, it is our sincere advice to applicant to keep checking KEA website or connect with team at Get My University.
