Yenepoya Medical College Mangalore

In 1999, the Islamic Academy of Education established Yenepoya Medical College. Due to its reputation for providing top-notch medical education, it is one of the top universities. 

The affiliated college of YMC Mangalore is Rajib Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Banglore. Yenepoya Medical College is one of the deemed colleges, which was ranked at 86 number out of 100 colleges in the country, as per the NIRF ranking 2020. 

Yenepoya Medical College offers general and special healthcare. The medical college has a state of art ultra-modern hospital and caters to the healthcare needs of the regions of Dakshina.

Since the establishment of the medical college, its intake capacity of MBBS students was 100, but over the time National Medical Council (NMC) permitted the college to admit 150 students in MBBS Course with effect from Academic Year 2011.

The admission process depends upon performance in the NEET exam. Since 2009, the College has started a number of PG Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various medical disciplines. 

The faculty of the YMC Mangalore is also well-trained as they perform a vital role in maintaining a disciplined environment. Students and faculty comply with the rules and regulations of the university. It is a private university, that is offering real and search-oriented study patterns.

Clinical exposure, the number of beds, and a healthy environment, all are well-maintained. YMC medical college is the hub of extracurricular activities. There are also preclinical and para-clinical departments, libraries, lecture halls, and an examination hall to develop students' minds.

Admission Process

Yenepoya Medical College Mangalore

To pursue an MBBS in Yenepoya Medical College, you must pass the NEET entrance exam and fulfill all steps given below-

STEP 1: MCC Registration

First step is to register on the official website of MCC. While making the registration, you need to select “Deemed University” from the available counselling option. Thus, candidates must register on MCC official website in order to get Direct Admission in Yenepoya Medical College.

STEP 2: Choice Filling

Second step is choice filling which is one of the most important step in the Yenepoya Medical College Admission Process. Student must note that the choice filling is restricted to the first round. During Round 2, candidates can only reshuffle or delete colleges from their list. They cannot add any new colleges.

STEP 3: Declaration of Result

After MCC releases the results, students can log in to see if their cutoff meets the requirements for Round 1. Students can be admitted to the Medical College Mangalore if they meet the requirements. Applicants may reapply for upcoming rounds of counselling if they are not selected in the first round.

STEP 4: Allotment of Seat

Seat allotment is the fourth step involved in the Yenepoya Medical College Admission Process. 

STEP 5 – Reporting to College

After you have got the allotted seat, you are now required to report to the Yenepoya Medical College.
