Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum is known to be one of the oldest colleges in Karnataka, which was built in the year 1962. Under the NIRF ranking survey in 2021, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College ranked 47th among 50 medical colleges in India. The medical institute was established with the motto of being a "Global center for medical education, research, and health care services".
It has also provided students with the best medical education since it was founded. JNMC offers a variety of degrees, with the MBBS programme being one of its most well-known programmes. The 5.5-year MBBS degree includes a one-year internship offering 200 available seats. The admission process is based on NEET performance. So, it is must to qualify NEET exam to take admission.

Dr. Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital(PKCH) was associated in the year 2004 with the aim of giving clinical training to JNMC students. The hospital is well equipped with 1250 beds along with an occupancy of 80 to 90%. It is catering to patients with modern medical facilities. For the well-being of society, it offers free health care in the basic specialties to needy people.

Admission Process
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum
To pursue an MBBS in this College, you must pass the NEET entrance exam and fulfill all steps given below- STEP 1: MCC Registration First step is to register on the official website of MCC. While making the registration, you need to select “Deemed University” from the available counselling option. Thus, candidates must register on MCC official website in order to get Direct Admission in this College. STEP 2: Choice Filling Second step is choice filling which is one of the most important step in this medical college admission process. Student must note that the choice filling is restricted to the first round. During Round 2, candidates can only reshuffle or delete colleges from their list. They cannot add any new colleges. STEP 3: Declaration of Result After MCC releases the results, students can log in to see if their cutoff meets the requirements for Round 1. Students can be admitted to the Medical College, if they meet the requirements. Applicants may reapply for upcoming rounds of counselling if they are not selected in the first round. STEP 4: Allotment of Seat Seat allotment is the fourth step involved in tthis medical college admission process. STEP 5 – Reporting to College After you have got the allotted seat, you are now required to report to the College.
