Officially known as the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society Medical College, GMERS Medical College in Gandhinagar was established in 2012 with the goal of providing quality medical education and healthcare services to the community. 

The college offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in various medical specialties. It also provides opportunities for research and offers Ph.D. programs in medical sciences. Admissions to the MBBS program are done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted at the national level, while postgraduate admissions are based on the NEET-PG score and counselling process.
