Faculty of Medicine Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital has a total of 150 MBBS seats, out of which 25% are reserved for NRI and management quota candidates. The remaining 75% of seats are divided into various categories, including open merit, government quota, and management quota. The admission process is conducted based on the NEET scores, followed by counselling conducted by the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee.

Candidates coming from the state of Tamil Nadu are given 85% of the seats. Whereas, the rest 15% are reserved for candidates from other states. The college also offers a 10% reservation for students from the economically weaker section (EWS) category.
