Counseling process of Medical Colleges in Bihar is performed by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. This counseling process has 3 rounds: Round 1, Round 2, and the Mopup round, which conducts round 1 and round 2 online Mop-up is done only in offline mode.

Here are the steps involved in the admission process:

  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the BCECEB, which include a minimum age of 17 years, passing 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Only Bihar Domicile students are eligible for the government seat and for private seats any state's student can apply.
  • Application: Candidates need to apply online through the BCECEB website and pay the application fee.
  • Security Deposit: Need to pay the required security deposit which is applicable from round 1.
  • Rank Card: The board will release State Rank cards for eligible candidates, which they need to download before they proceed with choice filling.
  • Result: BCECEB will declare the result on its official website.
  • Reporting: Allotted candidates need to report to the college to complete the admission process.
  • Free Exit: Free exit is applicable in round 1, students can skip the reporting if they are not satisfied with the allotted college. If they don’t report after allotment in round 2, then the security deposit will be forfeited.
