In existence since 2000, the Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER)  is affiliated with the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). SMIMER offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medicine, including the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and various specialties in postgraduate courses. The college follows a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge, practical training, and clinical exposure to provide a holistic learning experience.
