Established in 1948, Armed Forces Medical College, better known as AFMC, is dedicated to training medical professionals for the Indian Armed Forces and providing quality healthcare services. 

AFMC offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medicine, nursing, dental surgery, and various allied health sciences. The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program is highly sought after and admission is competitive. The college also offers postgraduate courses in various specialties, leading to degrees such as MD, MS, and MCh. Additionally, AFMC provides opportunities for doctoral research through its Ph.D. program.

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is situated in the southern part of Pune city, known as Wanowrie. Pune is well-connected to major cities in India through air, rail, and road networks. The college is approximately 10 kilometers away from Pune Railway Station and about 15 kilometers from Pune Airport.
