WEST BENGAL NEET MBBS COUNSELLING

The WEST BENGAL NEET MBBS COUNSELLING for Medical & Dental program is being conducted by The Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Government of West Bengal.Counseling will be conducted for the 85% Government & 100% Private Medical & Dental seats. There are 19 Government Medical College, 6 Private Medical College and 1 AIIMS. Counseling for AIIMS will be done through MCC only.

There are 3 rounds of WEST BENGAL NEET MBBS COUNSELLING process which includes “Round 1”, “Round 2” both getting conducted online and the third round is “Mop up” round also called as spot round or physical round, which is conducted offline.

If seats are vacant after mop up then college round will be conducted, also known as “Stray round or College level round”

Document verification will be done after allotment of seat.
System will lock choices automatically if someone fails to do so.
Fresh registration will open before every round of counseling.

Eligibility Criteria OF WEST BENGAL COUNSELING

Students must qualify NEET.
Must be Indian Citizen to claim seat under Govt./Private/Management.
Foreign National can also apply for seats under NRI/Other Quota.
Non-Domicile can only apply for Management quota seats in Private Medical/Dental seats.
Domicile can apply for Government, Government aided Private as well as Management seat.
Students must have passed class 12th or its equivalent exams.

Government Aided Private – These are Government subsidized seats in Private Medical College for the West Bengal domicile students.

Private seat – Seat offered in the Private Medical/Dental colleges in WEST BENGAL (Only domicile can apply)

NRI seat – These seats are reserved for NRI in the Private Medical College of West Bengal.

Steps Involved in the Counseling Process

Register online on https://wbmcc.nic.in/ your login id and password will be created
Pay registration fee of Rs 2000 for General and 1500 for reserved category.
Login using your ID and password, take print out of your online application.
Merit list will be published.
Fill your choices online.
Don’t forget to Lock your choices (System won’t do it automatically)
Final result will be declared
Report to Nodal centre with DD of Tuition fee.
You can either stay with your allotted college or else can go for the up-gradation of college in Round 2.
Those who have registered in Round 1 need not register again in Round 2.
For Mop up everyone has to apply including previously applied students who did not get a seat.
