PUNAJB NEET M.B.B.S Counseling
The counseling for Medical & Dental program in Punjab is being conducted by “Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (BFUHS). Counseling will be conducted for the 85% Government & 100% Private Medical & Dental seats on the basis of Marks obtained in NEET UG Examination conducted by NTA.
There are 3 rounds of counseling process which includes “Round 1” “Round 2” and the third round is “Mop up” round all three gets conducted online. If seats are vacant after mop up then college round will be conducted, also known as “Stray round”
There are 3 Government, 6 Private and 1 AIIMS (to be filled through MCC) in Punjab. This offers 1285 State quota MBBS seat (Excluding 15% AIQ seat). Seat Allotment for AIIMS will be done through centralized counseling process conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).

SALIENT FEATURES OF COUNSELING
- Registration opens only once before round 1.
- Registration in round 2 will be open only for All India Quota reverted seat.
- Security deposit is applicable in round 2 of Punjab NEET UG counseling.
- There is no free exit in round 2.
- Document verification will happen at the time of reporting.
- Other State students can apply for 4 Seats in CMC Ludhiana under All India Seat.
- Candidate belonging to other State shall be considered in Round 2.
ELIGIBILITY PUNJAB NEET COUNSELING
- Students must qualify NEET
- Must be Indian Citizen to claim seat under Govt./Private/Management.
- Foreign National can apply for seats under NRI quota.
- Non-Domicile can only apply for Private Medical/Dental seats.
- Domicile can apply for Government, Government aided Private and Private seat
- Students must have passed class 12th or its equivalent exams.
- It is mandatory to submit Willingness to participate in Round 2 and Mop up round of counseling in Punjab.
Eligibility Criteria for Domicile Claim
- Candidates who are Domicile/Permanent residents of Punjab
Or
- Those who have studied for five years in Punjab or two years before qualifying examination are eligible to apply.
- Wards or Punjab Government employees posted in outside Punjab.
- Employee of Government of India Posted in Punjab.
- Wards of the Pensioners of Punjab Government.
- Wards of person who have settled in Punjab or resided for at least 5 years in Punjab.
- Wards of persons who held immovable property in Punjab for a period 5 years.

- Government seat - Seat offered in the Government Medical/Dental colleges in PUNJAB. (Only Domicile candidate can apply)
- Govt. Aided Private – These are Government subsidized fee seats offered in Private Medical/Dental colleges in Punjab for the Domicile Students.
- Management seat – These are self-financed seats offered in Private Medical/Dental Colleges in Punjab (Only for domicile candidate)
- NRI Seat – These are NRI seats offered in a Government/Private Medical Colleges in Punjab (NRI students from any reason can apply)
- All India Seat – These seats are open for students across India in Christian Medical College, Ludhiana.
Steps Involved in the Counseling Process
- Register online on www.bfuhs.ac.in by paying 5000 (2500 for SC) application fee online.
- Login using your ID and password, take print out of your online filled application.
- Upload your photographs and signature.
- Merit list will be published.
- Fill your choices online.
- Provisional allotment of seat.
- Deposition of tuition fee through online mode.
- Round 1 registered student need to submit willingness to participate in remaining rounds of counseling.
Choice after Allotment of Seat
- Option 1 – If you are satisfied with your allotment, you can report and verify your document at your allotted college.
- Option 2 – You are satisfied but willing to go for up gradation in the next round by retaining your seat. You can report to your allotted college and submit your willingness online to participate in round 2 or mop up.
- Option 3 - If you are not satisfied with your allotted college and willing to participate in the next round, then you can skip reporting in round 1 and submit your willingness to participate in round 2.
