However fees in private medical colleges are same for both domicile as well as non-domicile students. Due to recent changes made in the Government colleges, by introducing Bond it became very costly to choose. Bond Conditions in
Government Medical College of Haryana
In the year 2020 Government of Haryana had brought a new resolution and implemented 7 years Service Bond along with bond amount payable every year as a conditions for students taking admission in Government Medical College. The main idea behind this decision is to engage fresh Graduate to serve in the Government run hospital specifically in the rural areas. Rural service was there earlier as well but putting financial implication is a new methodology to meet the requirement of shortage of Doctors in rural part of India. By doing this students largely from poor background will be bound to serve as they won’t be able to furnish large amount by themselves.
Important points of Bond conditions:
- Bond amount – 10 Lacs
- Service Tenure – 7 Years
- Applicability – Only for Government Medical Colleges
- Government can’t guarantee job in Government Hospital
- If someone didn’t find a job will have to pay bond amount by themselves
- Government will assist in getting loan for the Bond amount, and continue to bear the repayment cost till the time he/she is working.
Options for Students opting Government Colleges:
Option A – State Government will facilitate for the bond amount in the form of an education loan from a Bank or Financial Institution)
**In this case students have to serve in a Government/Public run hospital for 7 years. Government will repay the amount till the time he/she continue to serve.
Option B – Student can pay the bond amount by themselves
**In this case students can do their own arrangement to pay bond amount. Such students don’t have to serve any service bond after completion of course.

Haryana always surprises students in the initial phase of its counseling, you will find very high cut off in the round 1 and can witness steep decline in the cut off in round 2 or mop up. Due to the implementation of bond in the Government Medical Colleges, cut off had come down in 2020 for Government seats. Hence, Haryana Students opting private medical colleges in other state due to higher cut off for Government seat in Haryana, started opting Government seat in Haryana.
When we compared private colleges of Haryana by keeping cost, clinical data, faculties, educational standards as a ground, we observed students can opt these colleges rather than going for similar options in other state where language, living conditions can become a barrier. We also observed students with a moderate score range like 500+ taking admission in Haryana, they could have got a better college options within the same costing. We would like to suggest our Medical aspirants to discuss things in detail, analyse every options which you could get, do not jump to any conclusion. There are better options waiting for you, provided you have proper information at right time.
