Understanding the SRM Direct Admission Process
Admission in SRM University is possible either through clearing entrance exam i.e. SRMJEEE or direct admission through management quota.
1. SRMJEEE Exam
SRM University administers a national entrance exam for admission to B.Tech courses offered at SRMIST campuses. Applicants seeking admission to SRM University should apply for and pass the SRMJEEE entrance exam with a respectable score in order to secure a seat in that programme.
SRMJEEE is held based on the 10+2 syllabus and has MCQ-type questions asked from Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology, Aptitude and English. It is conducted thrice in a year and has duration of 2.30 hours which is held in English medium. SRMJEEE exam fee is Rs.1200 and is non-refundable. The application form for each phase can be filled out if a candidate wants to take the SRMJEEE exam more than once.
2. Direct Admission through Management Quota

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission in SRM University
a) Nationality and Age
Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG).
Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only.
Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.
b) Qualifying Examination
All B.Tech programmes :Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics.
Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS
c) SRMJEEE (UG)
Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English & Aptitude in SRMJEEE(UG) are eligible for all the B.Tech Degree Programs
